Illinois High School Basketball - Hersey nips Hononegah
February 3, 2024: Arlington Heights, IL 60004 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL) and the visiting Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL), saw Hersey's basketball squad hold off Hononegah by a count of 46-40.
With the victory, Hersey upgrades its record to 20-8 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Fremd (Palatine, IL) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 23-6. Fremd won 79-30 in their recent non-league challenge against La Lumiere (La Porte, IN)
Next up, the Indians play the Belvidere Bucs (Belvidere, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge, on Monday, February 5. Hononegah will attempt to upgrade on its 24-4 season record. The Bucs come into the challenge with a 15-13 record after their 49-46 non-league win over Marengo (Marengo, IL).
