Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME) and the visiting Biddeford Tigers (Biddeford, ME), saw Mt. Ararat's basketball squad hold off Biddeford by a count of 54-50.

With the victory, Mt. Ararat upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 8. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Medomak Valley lost 46-36 in their recent league challenge against Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME)

Next up, the Tigers play the Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME) in a A South challenge, on Saturday, January 8. Biddeford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 76-36 non-league win over Leavitt (Turner, ME).
