Louisiana High School Basketball - Merryville nips Winnfield
December 28, 2023: Winnfield, LA 71483 Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Winnfield Tigers (Winnfield, LA), 50-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Merryville upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Panthers travel to Tioga (Tioga, LA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Tioga won 57-14 in their recent non-league bout against Vidalia (Vidalia, LA)
Next up, the Tigers play the North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Winnfield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Griffins go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 50-33 non-league win over Vidalia (Vidalia, LA).
