Underwood Eagles (Underwood, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Missouri Valley Big Reds (Missouri Valley, IA), 96-62 in a league bout.

With the win, Underwood upgrades its record to 20-0 on the season. The Eagles host Treynor (Treynor, IA) to play the Cardinals in a Western Iowa bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 17-2. Treynor won 75-60 in their recent non-league bout against St. Albert (Council Bluffs, IA)

Next up, the Big Reds confront the West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Missouri Valley will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record.
