California High School Basketball - Pinole Valley holds off Encinal
February 1, 2022: Pinole, CA 94564 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA) and the visiting Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA), saw Pinole Valley's basketball squad hold off Encinal by a tally of 65-62.
With the victory, Pinole Valley improves its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Hercules (Hercules, CA) to confront the Titans in a Tri-County - Stone challenge on Wednesday, February 2. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Hercules won 49-43 in their recent league challenge against Bethel (Vallejo, CA)
Next up, the Jets confront the Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) in a West Alameda County - Shoreline challenge, on Wednesday, February 2. Encinal will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 51-39 league win over Hayward (Hayward, CA).
