The Union County Panthers basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Fannin County Rebels to 55 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.

The Panthers now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fellowship Christian for a AA Region 8 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Union County will battle a Paladins team coming off a 84-47 league loss to Banks County (Homer, GA). The Paladins record now stands at 6-8.

The Rebels (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Gilmer (Ellijay, GA). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Gilmer was defeated by Jackson County (Jefferson, GA), 65-52, in a non-league contest.
