Oregon High School Basketball - Springfield overwhelms South Eugene
January 28, 2022: Springfield, OR 97477 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) and the visiting South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), saw Springfield's basketball squad wallop South Eugene by a tally of 49-25.
With the victory, Springfield improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Millers host North Bend (North Bend, OR) to confront the Bulldogs in a 5A Midwestern challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. North Bend won 62-27 in their recent league test against Ashland (Ashland, OR)
The Axe now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Roseburg for a 6A Southwest test on Saturday, January 29. South Eugene will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 56-18 league loss to Sheldon (Eugene, OR). The Indians record now stands at 1-8.
