The New Town Eagles basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Powers Lake Ranchers to 51 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dunseith for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 8. New Town will meet a Dragons team coming off a 73-56 non-league win over Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood (Renville, ND). The Dragons record now stands at 1-0.
