West Virginia High School Football - Nicholas County drops to James Monroe
October 28, 2022: Summersville, WV 26651 In Friday's non-league game, the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) football team knocked off the host Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), by a score of 21-7.
The Mavericks (9-0) will now prepare for their game against Summers County (Hinton, WV). The Bobcats come into the Coalfield A game with a 5-4 record. In their last game, Summers County was dropped by Clay County (Clay, WV), 28-19, in a league game.
The Grizzlies now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to PikeView for a Coalfield AA game on Friday, November 4. Nicholas County will battle a Panthers team coming off a 26-12 non-league win over River View (Bradshaw, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 4-5.
