October 14, 2016: Avondale, AZ 85323 In Friday's non-league match, the host La Joya Community Fighting Lobos football squad scored a close 31-26 victory over the Copper Canyon Aztecs.
In their next game, the Fighting Lobos clash with the Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ) in a 6A Southwest match, on Friday, October 21. La Joya Community will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Monsoon enter the match with a 5-3 record after their 46-34 league loss to Westview (Avondale, AZ).
The Aztecs (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Tolleson (Tolleson, AZ). The Wolverines enter the 6A Southwest match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, Tolleson was nudged by Millennium (Goodyear, AZ), 36-26, in a league match.
