Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Kopperl Eagles (Kopperl, TX), 60-24 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Meridian upgrades its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Cranfills Gap (Cranfills Gap, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, December 17. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 5-4. Cranfills Gap won 44-25 in their recent non-league bout against Iredell (Iredell, TX)
