Georgia High School Football - Calhoun County drops to Sherwood Christian Academy
September 1, 2023: Albany, GA 31721 In Friday's non-league game, the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles (Albany, GA) football team knocked off the visiting Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA), by a score of 39-14.
The Eagles (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Community Christian (Stockbridge, GA). The Knights come into the GAPPS AA Region 2 game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Community Christian was dropped by Young Americans Christian (Conyers, GA), 44-8, in a non-league game.
The Cougars now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Baker County for a 8-Man Freelance (8 Man) game on Friday, September 15. Calhoun County will battle a Bears team coming off a 60-6 non-league win over Southwest Georgia STEM Charter (Shellman, GA). The Bears record now stands at 1-1.
