Meadville Bulldogs (Meadville, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA), 70-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Meadville upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA) to clash with the Rockets in a District 10 Region 5 bout on Thursday, January 22. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Slippery Rock lost 47-45 in their recent league bout against Grove City (Grove City, PA)

Next up, the Oilers clash with the Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) in a District 10 Region 5 bout, on Thursday, January 22. Oil City will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 2-13 record after their 52-50 league loss to George Junior Republic (Grove City, PA).
