Illinois High School Basketball - Highland can't hold off Unity
December 11, 2010: Mendon, IL 62351 The Unity Mustangs basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Highland Cougars to 50 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Mustangs now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Western for a non-league contest on Monday, December 13. Unity will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 39-32 non-league win over Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-4.
The Cougars (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against North Shelby (Shelbyville, MO). The Raiders go into the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, North Shelby was edged by Putnam County (Unionville, MO), 47-40, in a league bout.
