North Carolina High School Basketball - Cherokee can't hold off Asheville

The Asheville Cougars basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the host Cherokee Braves to 62 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Erwin for a 3A/4A Mountain contest on Friday, January 5.

The Braves (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Maroon Devils come into the 1A Smoky Mountain contest with a 8-4 record.
