In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Derry Trojans baseball team scored a tight 8-4 victory over the Blacklick Valley Vikings.

The Trojans (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA). The Lancers go into the WPIAL 3A 3 game with a 4-8 record. In their last game, Deer Lakes was overwhelmed by East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA), 2-1, in a league game.
