New Mexico High School Basketball - Magdalena ripped by Valencia
December 28, 2010: Los Lunas, NM 87031 The Valencia Jaguars basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Magdalena Steers to 27 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Jaguars now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Volcano Vista for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 29. Valencia will meet a Hawks team coming off a 62-26 non-league win over Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 8-2.
The Steers (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Artesia (Artesia, NM). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Artesia was routed by Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM), 52-28, in a non-league contest.
