The Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) basketball nipped the visiting Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD), 61-57 in Wednesday's league test.

The Braves (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Hornets go into the Southern Maryland test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, Great Mills was tipped by Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD), 59-55, in a league test.

The Wolverines now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stone for a Southern Maryland test on Friday, February 18. Westlake will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 63-28 league loss to Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 6-14.
