California High School Basketball - Palos Verdes Peninsula falls to Santa Monica

The Santa Monica Vikings basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Palos Verdes Peninsula Panthers to 45 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morningside for a Ocean match on Wednesday, January 14. Santa Monica will face a Monarchs team coming off a 68-63 non-league win over St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 10-6.

With the defeat, Palos Verdes Peninsula moves to 7-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to South (Torrance, CA) to face the Spartans in a non-league match on Saturday, January 10. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 9-7. South lost 47-42 in their recent non-league match against Cathedral (Los Angeles, CA)
