The Gunnison Cowboys (Gunnison, CO) basketball felled the visiting Hotchkiss Bulldogs (Hotchkiss, CO), 55-35 in Friday's league test.

The Cowboys (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Olathe (Olathe, CO). The Pirates go into the 3A Western Slope test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Olathe defeated Grand Valley (Parachute, CO), 56-55, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cedaredge for a 3A Western Slope test on Saturday, January 15. Hotchkiss will clash with a Bruins squad coming off a 61-30 league loss to Aspen (Aspen, CO). The Bruins record now stands at 2-7.
