New York High School Lacrosse - Mahopac overwhelms Putnam Valley
March 28, 2016: Putnam Valley, NY 10579 The Mahopac Indians (Mahopac, NY) lacrosse triumphed over the host Putnam Valley Tigers (Putnam Valley, NY), 16-6 in Monday's non-league outing.

Game Summary
At Putnam Valley, Mahopac opened the season with a victory over Putnam Valley. The first 7 minutes PV controlled most of the action but Emily O'Shea and PAC defense turned away all of their advances. Soph. Morgan Kirby got things going for the Indians with her first varsity goal a little over 7 minutes into the game. PAC controlled possession for much of thefirst half scoring 6 more goals to make it 7-0 with just under 8 min to play in half. PV scored 2 before Tara Ravoli scored to give PAC an 8-2 lead at the half. Emily O'Shea was stellar in the 1st half coming up with 6 big saves. PV got the scoring started in the 2nd half with an early goal but PAC scored 2 more to make it 10-3. PV scored again 8 minutes into the half but PAC answered with a 6-0 run to put the game out of reach at 16-5. PV finished off the scoring with just over a minute left for a final score of 16-6.
