The South Pontotoc Cougars basketball team (Pontotoc, MS), was defeated 38-26 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Kossuth Aggies (Kossuth, MS)

The Aggies now sport a 12-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Itawamba Agricultural for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. Kossuth will battle a Indians team coming off a 59-47 non-league loss to Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS). The Indians record now stands at 3-7.

The Cougars (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Byers (Holly Springs, MS). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Byers was defeated by Ashland (Ashland, MS), 56-54, in a league contest.
