The La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) basketball felled the visiting Mission Eagles (Mission, TX), 56-41 in Tuesday's league test.

The Coyotes (11-23) will now prepare for their test against McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Region IV District 30 test with a 15-18 record. In their last test, McAllen thwarted Mission (Mission, TX), 53-37, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 2-14 record. They play next when they host McAllen Memorial for a 6A Region IV District 30 test on Friday, January 26. Mission will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 63-36 league win over Palmview (La Joya, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 21-10.
