The Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), 49-45 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Golden Lions (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Huss got by Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC), 57-50, in a league test.

The Chargers now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to West Mecklenburg for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 27. Crest will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 54-37 non-league loss to West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 3-6.
