October 9, 2008: Meriden, KS 66512 The Jefferson West Tigers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Piper Pirates to 0 in the Tigers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Tigers now have a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. James Academy for a non-league game on Saturday, October 11. Jefferson West will meet a Thunder team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Aquinas (Overland Park, KS). The Thunder record now stands at 22-1.
The Pirates (2-12) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Ward (Kansas City, KS). The Cyclones enter the Kaw Valley game with a 8-10 record. In their last game, Bishop Ward gained a win over Turner (Kansas City, KS), 2-0, in a league game.
