October 9, 2014: Hickory, NC 28601 The Hickory Red Tornadoes football team (Hickory, NC), was beaten 28-16 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC)
The Spartans (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Freedom was beaten by Watauga (Boone, NC), 34-22, in a non-league challenge.
The Red Tornadoes now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Stephens for a challenge on Thursday, October 16. Hickory will meet a Indians team coming off a 30-13 non-league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC). The Indians record now stands at 1-5.
