Ohio High School Basketball - Clay knocked off by Wheelersburg
December 20, 2014: Wheelersburg, OH 45694 The Wheelersburg Pirates basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Clay Panthers to 38 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Pirates now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Minford for a Southern Ohio II contest on Tuesday, December 23. Wheelersburg will meet a Falcons team coming off a 51-49 non-league loss to Bishop Watterson (Columbus, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 5-1.
The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Huntington (Chillicothe, OH). The Huntsmen enter the non-league contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Huntington was outscored by Southeastern (Chillicothe, OH), 53-42, in a league contest.
