The New Bern Bears basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Dixon Bulldogs to 46 in the Bears non-league victory on Thursday.

The Bears now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Carteret for a non-league contest on Monday, November 24. New Bern will battle a Patriots team coming off a 67-40 non-league loss to New Bern (New Bern, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.

The Bulldogs (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, New Hanover was routed by Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC), 72-66, in a non-league contest.
