Georgia High School Basketball - Lanier can't hold off Salem

December 5, 2014: Conyers, GA 30013

The Salem Seminoles basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Lanier to 57 in the Seminoles league triumph on Friday.

The Seminoles now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newton for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 6. Salem will play a Rams squad coming off a 57-43 non-league win over Eastside (Covington, GA). The Rams record now stands at 6-0.

Next up, the play the Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA) in a AAAAA Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, December 9. Lanier will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Gladiators come into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 82-78 league win over Apalachee (Winder, GA).
