The Barron Golden Bears basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Amery Warriors to 58 in the Golden Bears non-league victory on Thursday.

The Golden Bears now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Osceola for a non-league contest on Monday, December 5. Barron will battle a Chieftains team coming off a 63-57 league win over Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI). The Chieftains record now stands at 1-0.

The Warriors (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Prescott (Prescott, WI). The Cardinals come into the Middle Border contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Prescott edged McDonell Central (Chippewa Falls, WI), 53-52, in a non-league contest.
