The Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN) basketball nipped the visiting New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN), 51-47 in Friday's non-league test.

The Hawks (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Tri-West Hendricks (Lizton, IN). The Bruins go into the non-league test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Tri-West Hendricks was tipped by Beech Grove (Beech Grove, IN), 78-62, in a non-league test.

The Dragons now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Beech Grove for a non-league test on Friday, December 30. New Palestine will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 66-54 non-league win over Greenwood (Greenwood, IN). The Hornets record now stands at 4-3.
