The North Gaston Wildcats basketball team (Dallas, NC), was toppled 62-52 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC)

The Red Raiders now possess a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stuart Cramer for a Big South 2A/3A battle on Friday, February 10. South Point will confront a Storm team coming off a 79-74 league loss to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Storm record now stands at 7-15.

The Wildcats (9-14) will now prepare for their battle against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Knights come into the Big South 2A/3A battle with a 15-7 record. In their last battle, Lake Norman Charter beat Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC), 68-62, in a league battle.
