The North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) basketball nipped the host Windber Ramblers (Windber, PA), 44-39 in Monday's league test.

The Cougars (4-16) will now prepare for their test against Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA). The Bluejays go into the Western Pennsylvania - Northern test with a 5-14 record. In their last test, Conemaugh Valley was tipped by Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA), 69-54, in a league test.

The Ramblers now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Portage for a Western Pennsylvania - Northern test on Tuesday, February 7. Windber will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 61-58 league loss to Ferndale (Johnstown, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-11.
