North Carolina High School Basketball - Scotland can't hold off Hoke County
February 3, 2017: Laurinburg, NC 28352 The Hoke County Bucks basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Scotland Fighting Scots to 55 in the Bucks league triumph on Friday.
The Bucks now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Purnell Swett for a Southeastern 4A contest on Tuesday, February 7. Hoke County will battle a Rams team coming off a 85-39 league loss to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Rams record now stands at 3-15.
The Fighting Scots (10-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Pirates enter the Southeastern 4A contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Lumberton was nudged by Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC), 67-35, in a league contest.
