Virginia High School Basketball - Washington-Lee knocked off by Yorktown
January 27, 2017: Arlington, VA 22201 The Yorktown Patriots basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Washington-Lee Generals to 45 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.
The Patriots now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Lakes for a 6A Conference 6 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Yorktown will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 68-57 league win over McLean (McLean, VA). The Seahawks record now stands at 12-6.
The Generals (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Madison (Vienna, VA). The Warhawks enter the 6A Conference 6 contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Madison ran past Fairfax (Fairfax, VA), 46-45, in a league contest.
