The Holmes Bulldogs basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Memphis Central Warriors to 40 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newport for a non-league contest on Monday, December 14. Holmes will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 66-65 non-league win over Bryan Station (Lexington, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-0.

The Warriors (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mitchell (Memphis, TN). The Tigers enter the AAA District 16 contest with a 3-4 record.
