North Carolina High School Basketball - New Hanover falls to North Mecklenburg
December 29, 2009: Huntersville, NC 28078 The North Mecklenburg Vikings basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting New Hanover to 52 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westover for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 30. North Mecklenburg will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 43-37 non-league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-3.
The (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against New Bern (New Bern, NC). The Bears enter the 4A Conference 1 contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, New Bern was defeated by Southern Durham (Durham, NC), 50-38, in a non-league contest.
