The Beresford Watchdogs basketball squad (Beresford, SD), was crushed 74-48 in Friday's league bout with the host Canton C-Hawks (Canton, SD)

With the win, Canton upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The C-Hawks host Tri-Valley (Colton, SD) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Tri-Valley won 57-47 in their recent non-league bout against Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA)

Next up, the Watchdogs clash with the Chester Flyers (Chester, SD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Beresford will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Flyers go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 51-47 league loss to St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD).
