The Western Branch Bruins basketball team (Chesapeake, VA), was overwhelmed 56-25 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Kellam Knights (Virginia Beach, VA)

The Knights now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grassfield for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 3.

The Bruins (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Norfolk Collegiate (Norfolk, VA). The Mighty Oaks come into the VISAA Division II battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Norfolk Collegiate trounced Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA), 41-38, in a league battle.
