North Carolina High School Football - Burns beat Watauga
September 9, 2022: Lawndale, NC 28090 The Burns Bulldogs football squad scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Watauga Pioneers to 28 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Friday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland Tech for a 1A/2A West Conference 40 battle on Friday, September 16. Burns will play a Rams squad coming off a 62-6 non-league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Rams record now stands at 0-4.
Coming up next, the Pioneers play the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a 3A/4A West Conference 52 battle, on Friday, September 16. Watauga will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Huskies enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 51-29 non-league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).
