The Taft Greyhounds football squad scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats to 13 in the Greyhounds non-league victory on Thursday.

The Greyhounds now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mathis for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 1. Taft will play a Pirates squad coming off a 46-7 non-league loss to Ingleside (Ingleside, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Bobcats play the Ben Bolt Badgers (Ben Bolt, TX) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 2. Skidmore-Tynan will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Badgers enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 21-0 non-league loss to Kenedy (Kenedy, TX).
