The Draughn Wildcats football squad scored 46 points and restricted the host Patton Panthers to 16 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Burke for a non-league battle on Friday, September 2. Draughn will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 33-20 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-1.

Coming up next, the Panthers face the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 1. Patton will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 49-13 non-league win over Avery County (Newland, NC).
