Maryland High School Basketball - Surrattsville thwarts Mt. Hebron
December 28, 2023: Clinton, MD 20735 The Surrattsville Hornets (Clinton, MD) basketball knocked off the visiting Mt. Hebron Vikings (Ellicott City, MD), 70-51 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Hornets (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Fairmont Heights (Capitol Heights, MD). The Hornets go into the Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, Fairmont Heights notched a victory over Chopticon (Morganza, MD), 78-52, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Wilde Lake for a Howard County test on Wednesday, January 3. Mt. Hebron will encounter a Wildecats squad coming off a 61-36 non-league loss to Meade (Fort Meade, MD). The Wildecats record now stands at 3-6.
