California High School Basketball - Hillcrest edges Yucaipa

December 29, 2023: Riverside, CA 92503

The Hillcrest Trojans (Riverside, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Yucaipa Thunderbirds (Yucaipa, CA), 66-61 in Friday's non-league test.

The Trojans (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Ramona (Riverside, CA). The Rams go into the River Valley test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Ramona was tipped by Corona (Corona, CA), 54-52, in a non-league test.

The Thunderbirds now own a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Beaumont for a Citrus Belt test on Wednesday, January 3. Yucaipa will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 48-42 non-league loss to Folsom (Folsom, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 12-5.
