Illinois High School Basketball - Taft can't hold off Downers Grove North
February 13, 2024: Chicago, IL 60631 The Downers Grove North Trojans basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Taft Eagles to 56 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Trojans now sport a 25-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Lumiere Blue for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16. Downers Grove North will battle a Lakers team coming off a 77-60 non-league loss to South Bend Washington (South Bend, IN). The Lakers record now stands at 12-8.
The Eagles (11-18) will now prepare for their contest against New Trier (Winnetka, IL). The Trevians enter the non-league contest with a 24-7 record. In their last contest, New Trier nudged Highland Park (Highland Park, IL), 62-39, in a non-league contest.
