The Granville Central Panthers basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting J.F. Webb Warriors to 71 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carrboro for a 2A/3A Northern Lakes contest on Tuesday, February 13. Granville Central will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 59-35 league loss to Louisburg (Louisburg, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 10-11.
The Warriors (3-19) will now prepare for their contest against Durham School of the Arts (Durham, NC). The Bulldogs enter the 2A/3A Northern Lakes contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Durham School of the Arts was nudged by Vance County (Henderson, NC), 51-45, in a league contest.
