November 16, 2023: , The Non Varsity Tournament Opponent (, ) basketball knocked off the visiting Rotan Yellowhammers (Rotan, TX), 46-32 in Thursday's non-league test.
The (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Slocum (Elkhart, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Slocum went down by New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX), 50-45, in a non-league test.
The Yellowhammers now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Christ the King Cathedral for a non-league test on Friday, November 17. Rotan will encounter a Golden Lions squad coming off a 65-30 non-league win over Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX). The Golden Lions record now stands at 3-0.
