The Morton Indians (Morton, TX) basketball nipped the host Tahoka Bulldogs (Tahoka, TX), 58-56 in Friday's league test.

The Indians (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Sundown (Sundown, TX). The Roughnecks go into the 1A-1 Region I District 6 test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Sundown got by Plains (Plains, TX), 38-36, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 10-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seagraves for a 1A-1 Region I District 6 test on Tuesday, January 17. Tahoka will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 59-50 league loss to Smyer (Smyer, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-9.
