The Bloomfield Bengals basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Montclair Mounties to 63 in the Bengals non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bengals now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seton Hall Prep for a Super Essex - American contest on Thursday, January 30. Bloomfield will meet a Pirates team coming off a 59-35 league win over Shabazz (Newark, NJ). The Pirates record now stands at 9-3.

The Mounties (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Orange (Orange, NJ). The Tornadoes enter the Super Essex - Liberty contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Orange nudged University (Newark, NJ), 63-58, in a league contest.
