The San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) basketball nipped the visiting St. Joseph Knights (Santa Maria, CA), 46-41 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Royals (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Prestonwood Christian (Plano, TX). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 17-1 record. In their last test, Prestonwood Christian got by Centennial (Bakersfield, CA), 79-61, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Oakland for a non-league test on Monday, December 30. St. Joseph will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 59-53 non-league win over Central Catholic (Modesto, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-4.
